Description |
Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite ceremonial sword Engraved yellow metal with bone handle. Pommel is a pilgrim's tent with the pilgrim sitting in the slightly opened doorway. The grip is of black painted wood and the quillian is decorated with a chivalric designs and ornate deltas. On scabbard: Pelican feeding its young with the blood of its breast surmounting a rose and cross--Christological symbols of the 18th degree of Knight Rose Croix surmounted by the double-headed eagle of the 32nd degree. On middle of scabbard is a raised Teutonic cross. Engraved vine designs and Charles McK. Lindsay adorn the scabbard. Blade: natural and geometric designs, Teutonic crosses, scenes of knights jousting with the Dome of the Rock in the background, Charlds McK. Lindsay are engraved. Lower part of blade is rusty. |
